Multi-Device IPTV Subscriptions Explained
A multi-device IPTV subscription lets you stream on more than one screen at the same time using a single account. This article answers the most common problems and questions people have when setting up or upgrading to a multi-device plan.
Problem 1: Can Only One Person Watch at a Time
A single-connection (1-device) IPTV plan allows only one active stream at a time. If a second person tries to watch on another device, the first stream typically stops. The fix is a multi-device plan — choose a 2-connection, 3-connection or 5-connection plan depending on how many simultaneous viewers you need. See our pricing page.
Problem 2: Partner Wants a Different Channel at the Same Time
With a 2-connection plan, two devices can stream completely independently — different channels, different categories, different times. One person can watch a sports event while another watches a series. No coordination needed.
Problem 3: Children and Adults Want Different Content
IPTV Sports includes kids content as well as adult entertainment. A 3-connection plan lets you run a kids stream on a tablet in one room, a sports stream on the living room TV, and a series on a laptop upstairs — all simultaneously and independently.
Problem 4: Unsure Which Multi-Device Plan to Choose
A straightforward rule: count the maximum number of screens you might ever want running at the same time, then choose that tier. Most households with two adults are well served by a 2-connection plan. Families with children often prefer a 3-connection plan. Larger households or those who frequently have guests may want the 5-connection option.
Problem 5: Stream Keeps Cutting Off When Someone Else Opens the App
This almost always means you have exceeded your connection limit. If you have a 1-device plan and two people try to stream simultaneously, the service cuts one of them. Upgrade to a multi-device plan to resolve this permanently.
Problem 6: App Shows "Max Connections Reached"
The "max connections reached" error means your account is already streaming on the maximum number of allowed devices. Close the stream on one device before opening it on another, or upgrade to a higher-tier plan. Contact us via WhatsApp if you want to upgrade.
Problem 7: Travelling Abroad — Can I Use My Subscription?
IPTV streams over your internet connection, so the service works wherever you have a stable internet connection — including when travelling within the Nordics (Norway, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Sweden) and in many other countries. The connection limit is per account, not per location.
Problem 8: Setting Up Multi-Device on Different Device Types
Multi-device plans use the same credentials on multiple devices — you don’t need separate accounts. Install your preferred IPTV player app on each device and enter the same M3U URL or login credentials on all of them. See our setup guide for device-specific instructions.
Problem 9: Do I Need a Higher Internet Speed for Multi-Device?
Yes. Each active stream consumes its own bandwidth. If three devices stream 4K simultaneously, you need around 150 Mbps. For HD streaming across three devices, 75 Mbps is a good target. See our article on internet speed requirements for IPTV.
